Panamá .- La primera dama de Panamá, Marta Linares de Martinelli, impartirá el día de hoy en la capital de República Dominicana una conferencia magistral sobre el autismo, informó ayer una fuente oficial.
Un comunicado de la Presidencia panameña indica que la participación de la esposa del gobernante del país, Ricardo Martinelli, en esa conferencia responde a una invitación que le hizo la primera dama dominicana, Cándida Montilla de Medina, luego de visitar Panamá el pasado 3 de julio de 2012.
La primera dama dominicana conoció sobre el terreno los programas y proyectos desarrollados por Linares de Martinelli y la atención que reciben gratuitamente niños, niñas y jóvenes con autismo en el Centro Ann Sullivan Panamá (CASPAN).
Linares de Martinelli ofrecerá este miércoles en Santo Domingo una conferencia magistral titulada “Compartiendo experiencias, Políticas públicas aplicadas por el gobierno de Panamá en el abordaje del tema autismo”, según la fuente.
La primera dama de Panamá, luego de disertar acerca de la experiencia panameña y los resultados del trabajo del CASPAN, sostendrá una audiencia con el presidente dominicano, Danilo Medina.
Posteriormente, ambas primeras damas se trasladarán al Centro de Atención Integral para la Discapacidad (CAID), un moderno centro que se inaugura bajo la gestión de Cándida Montilla de Medina y que estima beneficiar a más de 300.000 niños, niñas y jóvenes dominicanos con habilidades especiales, incluida la población con autismo.
