El Proyecto Avatar tiene como último objetivo proporcionar la inmortalidad a los seres humanos. Para ello, están previstas cuatro fases: Avatar A (entre 2015 y 2020), a la que se llegará cuando podamos controlar un androide a distancia con nuestro pensamiento; Avatar B (2020-2025), consistente en el trasplante de la masa gris de una persona fallecida a un robot; Avatar C (2030-2035), que permitirá crear un androide con un cerebro artificial donde se volcará la conciencia individual, con todos sus recuerdos y conocimientos; y, finalmente, Avatar D (2040-2045), momento en que la mente del ser humano será transferida a un avatar holográfico basado en simple energía, libre de ataduras físicas. El empresario ruso Dmitry Itskov, promotor de este visionario plan, nos explica sus claves.
¿Qué tipo de futuro aspira a crear?
Nuestra intención es construir una sociedad donde las personas sean capaces de vivir en la abundancia y durante mucho tiempo, no solo en nuestro planeta natal. Aunque ya somos técnicamente capaces de enviar colonos a la Luna y Marte, con nuestra dotación biológica no sobreviviríamos allí por mucho tiempo. El primer científico que propuso la idea fue el experto en cohetes ruso Konstantin. Describió la evolución definitiva del cuerpo humano como el tránsito de un estado biológico, material, a otro de energía, lo que da como resultado una humanidad radiante. En mi búsqueda espiritual también encontré textos donde se menciona que los seres humanos pueden evolucionar hasta un ente de luz. Lo encontré sorprendentemente similar al paradigma científico de Tsiolkovski. Inspirado por estas dos visiones, concebimos Avatar D con tecnología muy avanzada, que incluye la holografía y la computación óptica y fotónica.
