Este cuento va dirigido a los niños. Podría parecer que sus destinatarios exclusivos serán los ‘Hermanos de los niños con autismo’ y tal percepción seria verdadera, aunque solo en parte. Seria verdadera porque lo hemos escrito pensando en ellos y por eso nos hemos centrado en sus preguntas, sus curiosidades, … en su modo de percibir a sus hermanos con autismo. Pero esta dirigido a todos los niños, a los que tienen en su clase integrado a un niño con autismo, a los que tienen entre sus vecinos a un niño con TGD no especificado, a los que tienen un primo con disfasia… Y a todos los demás niños: a los que queremos educar en la aceptación de la diversidad.
Pero este cuento también va dirigido a los adultos. Va dirigido a todos los padres que no saben que explicación deben dar a sus hijos con un ‘desarrollo típico’ acerca del autismo.
También esta dirigido a los profesores. Ellos también deben enfrentarse a las preguntas que formulan sus alumnos cuando hay un niño integrado con autismo en el aula. Y, en su caso, a la dificultad que de por si supone dar una explicación de tal envergadura, se añade muchas veces el desconocimiento de una alteración que hasta entonces había estado ajena a sus vidas.
