Ha superado sus limitaciones y labora en La Electricidad de Caracas atendiendo a los clientes
Dinamismo, mucha alegría y una mente positiva es lo que refleja a diario María Isabel González cuando atiende a los clientes que acuden a la oficina de La Electricidad de Caracas, en el Centro Comercial Concresa.
«Desde que llego a las 7 de la mañana estoy pendiente de cada una de las necesidades que tienen las personas y así les entrego su ticket para que esperen su turno y sean atendidos por uno de los compañeros», cuenta muy seria mientras atiende una llamada.
Esta joven con síndrome de Down, de 31 años de edad, tiene más de uno concentrada en las responsabilidades que le han asignado y por supuesto en la confianza que han puesto en ella. «No sabes cómo me gusta lo que hago. Me siento muy orgullosa de saber que cumplo con todo. Me quiero quedar aquí pues he aprendido mucho y disfruto día a día el compartir con tanta gente y ayudarla en lo que pueda y esté a mi alcance».
Desde muy temprano
Su día comienza tempranísimo pues entra a trabajar a primera hora de la mañana. «No me gusta dormir mucho, en la vida hay que ser ágil y mantenerse activo para poder hacer las cosas bien y como debe ser», acota María Isabel.
Los fines de semana le gusta descansar un poco; sin embargo, no desprecia cualquier invitación, comenta con cara de pícara. «Me puedo reunir con mis amigas para hablar, salir al cine o a caminar».
Cuando habla del cine, hace la acotación que la última película que vio fue la de Leonardo Di Caprio, pero eso sí, resalta con mucha risa en su rostro: «no creas que es porque me gusta él, simplemente es porque actúa muy bien».
Asimismo, manifestó que acompaña a su mamá a hacer diligencias y ayudarla en muchas tareas que necesita, también en hacer el mercado y en comprar cosas para el hogar.
Ardua jornada
A pesar de que cumple una jornada muy ardua hasta las 4:30 de la tarde, no le inquieta en lo absoluto pasar tantas horas dentro de la oficina. Generalmente, lleva su almuerzo, que según ella su mamá prepara y es de «calidad». Pero cuando puede, se escapa con sus compañeros a comer algo cerca y así compartir y pasar un rato diferente.
Sus compañeros la quieren mucho, y es admirada por su inteligencia y su vocación hacia el trabajo. «No hay asunto que no realice de forma ordenada», comentan algunos.
Pero tampoco pierde ocasión para agradecerles a todos por la oportunidad que le han brindado en su trabajo y siempre les hace ver que la labor integral con personas especiales como ella es la mejor alternativa para seguir madurando y creciendo como personas útiles a la sociedad.
Activa por demás
María Isabel tiene muy buenas aptitudes. Además de ser excelente trabajadora, le gusta la cocina, el deporte y es muy conocida por los programas que la televisión le ha hecho.
«Ya la gente me reconoce. Cuando vienen aquí ya saben quién soy yo y en los alrededores de la urbanización dodne resido todo el mundo me saluda y me dice las veces que me han visto. Creo que me estoy volviendo famosa», sonríe con orgullo.
En cuanto a la cocina, dice que sus habilidades se encuentran en los dulces, sobre todo con el tres leches, torta de zanahorias y suspiros, «los cuales preparó en ocasiones».
Para finalizar hace un llamado a los jóvenes para que desarrollen actividades, que no se limiten porque siempre «hay algo que sabemos hacer y muy bien».
