Joven con Síndrome de Down da su vida por su perro en explosión en Argentina

La historia de la joven María Emilia Elías, una de las 13 víctimas mortales de la explosión en Rosario, Argentina, suscitada el pasado martes, ha conmovido a medios locales e internacionales.

La joven de 28 años, que padecía Síndrome de Down, fue hallada muerta abrazando a su perro, quien logró sobrevivir gracias a su protección.

Rescatistas voluntarios fueron quienes hallaron a la joven: “la encontramos sin vida abrazada a su mascota, que milagrosamente sobrevivió”, declararon a medios locales.

El cadáver y el cachorro de labrador fueron inmediatamente sacados de los escombros.

María fue identificada como hija de Juan Carlos, entrenador argentino de Heredia, un equipo del futbol de Guatemala que se encontraba en el edificio de Salta 2141 en el momento de la explosión.

La identidad de la chica causó confusión inicialmente, puesto que su cuerpo fue confundido con una niña de 8 años. Sin embargo, ya hoy fueron identificadas plenamente las 13 víctimas mortales y los múltiples heridos.

Hasta el momento se ha determinado que una fuga de gas en el subsuelo ocasionó una fuerte deflagración la mañana del pasado martes, que provocó el derrumbe del edificio y daños severos en otros dos en el centro de la ciudad de Rosario.
